New Service and Subscriber Charges
Pembroke Telephone requires subscribers to complete an application at our business office to establish new service. You will need proof of identification, such as a driver’s license. Pembroke Telephone generally can establish service in the customer's residence or business usually within five working days of application. Establishing service to new construction areas may take additional time depending on location. At the time of application, all new customers are required to pay any installation charges, first month’s local service and a deposit of $75.00 for residents and $120.00 for businesses. Deposits are held for one year and will be applied to the account with 7 percent interest when the account has been paid on time for twelve consecutive months. For more information about establishing phone service, please contact us. There is a Premise Visit charge that is applied to all visits by a maintenance person to the phone's location. There are additional charges to each account that are mandated by federal, state and local tariffs and laws. Pembroke Telephone is required to charge these fees under those individual requirements and some of these mandated fees may differ by exchange and/or change without notice. The connection charges vary according to what you order. Below is a list of other charges you may incur depending on your individual services.
All features have a $5.00 programming charge. All changes to an account are subject to the Service Order charge. The charges are $17.50 for residences and $19.75 for businesses. Prices are subject to change without notice unless otherwise required by law.
