Equipment Choices

When you subscribe to PAC-TV, you receive a set top converter box, or STB. You will need a separate STB for each television in your house that you want connected to PAC-TV. Currently, Pembroke Telephone has two types of converters: our standard STB and a digital video recorder (DVR).

The Amino 110 STB. One of these STBs is standard with your PAC TV system; additional STBs are available for $6.99 a month. Smaller than a paperback book, the Amino 110 fits lots of capabilities into a tiny footprint. This STB enables you to change channels, see the onscreen program guide, "auto tune" to your favorite programs and set parental controls. A manual for the Amino 110 is included here for more information, as well as instructions for programming the remote control to work with your television.

The Amino 500 DVR STB. Slightly larger than the Amino 110, the 500 offers all the same features as the 110, but also enables you to record, pause and play back live television. No more need for a VCR and struggling to program it to record. With a few selections from the remote control, you will be able to record all your favorite programming. The DVR STB is available for just $15.99 a month, which also includes a second standard (Amino 110) STB for a second television outlet.
